In Pärnu you can find almost anything – picturesque nature, colourful and fascinating history, traditional cultural and sports events and ideal opportunities to hold meetings. And all of this within the boundaries of the small city and its vicinity.

Pärnu is a city that boasts a long history and an interesting development. People have lived hereabouts for more than 11 000 years. The first town was built on the estuary of the River Pärnu in 1251. Pärnu was a blossoming Hanseatic town during the 14th century, it became an administrative centre in the 16th century, a university town in the 17th century, a holiday resort in the 19th century. In 1990s Pärnu became the summer capital of Estonia.

Pärnu is a compact city where it takes no more than 15 minutes to travel from one side to the other. Close at hand are conference venues in different styles, hotels and guesthouses, a theatre, a concert hall and several museums and galleries. Near by are also different sport centres and hiking routes. Modern day Pärnu is a holiday resort where both tourism and environmental-friendly industry is being developed. About 300 000 people visit Pärnu in summer time.

In addition to the provision of opportunities for official sessions in Pärnu, you can participate in various sports, relax in a spa, enjoy a meal in a restaurant or have fun in a night club.

Pärnu is a member of European Federation of Conference Towns (EFCT) and European Spas Association (ESPA). Pärnu also participates in the movement of healthy cities.
