City with culture

Various cultural events take place in Pärnu year-round and several of these events have become annual traditions attracting people from different countries. Very popular are music, film and dance festivals, such as David Oistrahh Festival and Pärnu Opera Days. In winter, the most popular events are the Santa Clause Conference and the children and youth music festival Jam of Music.

Visitors can find entertainment from theatre, open-air performances, sports events and other activities in the city. The Estonian Lithographic Centre and the Museum of New Art in Pärnu are certainly worth a visit.

Pärnu Concert Hall is the heart of cultural life in Pärnu and a home for the Pärnu City Orchestra and Pärnu Music School. There are two halls with excellent acoustics and the highest technical standards. Polyfunctionality of the Grand Hall enables performances of almost anything from chamber recitals to orchestra concerts, from science conferences to vehicle presentations, and from banquets to sports competitions and opera.
